To further improve output characteristics of an aqueous solution secondary battery.SOLUTION: An aqueous solution secondary battery of the present disclosure includes: a positive electrode having a positive electrode active material; a negative electrode having a metal oxide including one or more of Nb and Ru, as a negative electrode active material; and an aqueous electrolyte dissolving an organic compound in which two or more sulfonic acid alkali groups are bonded and conducting alkali metal ions between the positive electrode and the negative electrode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
