Abstract:
To provide a coating apparatus which applies coating material in stripes using a single die head.SOLUTION: The coating apparatus comprises: first and second dies disposed opposite each other; and multiple shims 4 sandwiched between the first and second dies, and stacked on each other. Coating material 7, which is supplied to at least one of the first and second dies, is applied in stripes through the multiple shims 4. The multiple shims 4 have a through-hole extending through the stacked multiple shims 4. On the same one side, each of the multiple shims 4 has an opening portion which is communication with the through-hole so that the opening portions do not overlap each other. Upon application, the coating material 7 passed through the through-hole is ejected through each opening portion provided at each of the multiple shims 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
