Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method for an image display device with which it is possible to prevent troubles caused by air bubbles mixed in an adhesive or an unevenness in the application of the adhesive.SOLUTION: Provided is a manufacturing method for an image display device having an image display panel 1 and a substrate 5 bonded to the image display panel 1, comprising: an application step for applying a coating of adhesive 4 to the image display panel 1 or the substrate 5; a lamination step for laminating the substrate 5 and the image display panel 1 via the adhesive 4; and a curing step for curing the adhesive 4 held between the image display panel 1 and the substrate 5. In the step for applying a coating of adhesive 4, the adhesive 4 has a plurality of linear coating portions 4b formed linearly from the middle to the outer circumference of the image display panel 1 or the substrate 5 to which the adhesive 4 is applied, and the plurality of linear coating portions 4b are coated in relatively shorter length than adjacent linear coating portions 4b as it goes from the middle to the outer circumference of the image display panel 1 or the substrate 5 to which the adhesive 4 is applied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1-1
