Abstract:
To provide a monitoring system that prevents a reduction in the accuracy of detecting an event, while reducing a burden on an administrator.SOLUTION: A monitoring system 100 comprises: a first camera 1; a device control unit 55; a device storage unit 54; and an output device 53. The first camera 1 picks up an image of a first imaging area to generate first picked-up image data indicating a first picked-up image. The device control unit 55 detects an event on the basis of the first picked-up image data. The event includes a pre-event and a post-event detected after the pre-event ends. When detecting the pre-event, the device control unit 55 changes a first flag 541 from an off state to an on state, and maintains the on state of the first flag 541 even after the pre-event ends. When detecting the post-event, the device control unit 55 changes a second flag 542 from an off state to an on state, and causes the output device 53 to notify an administrator of continuous event occurrence information indicating the fact that a continuous event occurs.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
