Abstract:
To suppress the generation of nonbonding radioactive zirconium and increase the radiochemical yield of radioactive zirconium.SOLUTION: Provided is a zirconium labeling method by which, in a reaction solution containing a tracer molecule bonded with a chelating agent, radioactive zirconium, and oxalic acid ions, the radioactive zirconium is bonded to the chelating agent to label the radioactive zirconium with the tracer molecule, in which method a hydrogen ion concentration [H] and an oxalic acid ion concentration [CO] are determined such that α is 0.95 or more in a formula (1) defined by an equilibrium constant Kin a reaction between the radioactive zirconium and the chelating agent, an equilibrium constant Kin a reaction between the radioactive zirconium and the oxalic acid ions, the hydrogen icon concentration [H] in the reaction solution, a chelating agent concentration [HL] in the reaction solution, and the oxalic acid ion concentration [CO].SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
