Abstract:
To provide a composition for improving a symptom related to a hyperglycemia, and a therapeutic method by the composition.SOLUTION: There are provided a composition for improving symptoms related to hyperglycemia by administering a polypeptide {zinc-α2-glycoprotein (ZAG)} having a specific sequence or a functional fragment thereof, and a therapeutic method by the composition. In a method for improving symptoms related to hyperglycemia, it is preferable that the polypeptide is administered intravenously, subcutaneously, intraperitoneally or orally, and it is preferable that the polypeptide is administered in combination with a β3 agonist or a β3-adrenergic receptor antagonist.SELECTED DRAWING: None
