Abstract:
To provide a permeable belt capable of being used for creping or structuring a cellulose web in a tissue paper manufacturing process.SOLUTION: A permeable belt 400 comprises a first layer 402 and a second layer 404. The first layer is made of an extruded polymeric material, forms a first surface 408 of the belt, and has a plurality of openings 406 extending through the first layer. The plurality of openings have an average cross-sectional area of 0.1 mmor more on the first surface. The second layer is attached to the first layer, forms a second surface of the belt which closes the plurality of openings extending through the first layer, and has a plurality of openings extending through the second layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
