Abstract:
To provide a cathode active material having high capacity characteristic, output characteristic, especially excellent output characteristic in a low SOC area, and excellent cycling property at same time, and a transition metal-containing composite hydroxide particle of a precursor thereof.SOLUTION: An initial reaction atmosphere in a nucleation process and a particle growth process is made non oxidation or weak oxidation atmosphere, then changed to oxidation atmosphere, and further control for changing to non oxidation or weak oxidation atmosphere is conducted at least once, and in a final crystallization process in oxidation atmosphere, a ratio of oxygen amount and transition ion amount sending to a solution for particle growth per unit time is set in a range of 0.10 to 2.0, and a particle in which a large particle diameter particle having a center part in which a tabular primary particle is aggregated, and at least 1 laminate structure of a low density layer by aggregation of fine primary particle and high density layer by aggregation of the tabular primary particle at outside thereof, and a high density and solid small particle diameter particle formed by aggregation of the tabular primary particle and having radius with similar length to thickness of the high density layer of the large particle diameter particle is obtained in one manufacturing process.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
