Abstract:
To provide a gimbal type pan head which enables quick change of a direction of a photographic apparatus with a simple structure and stable support.SOLUTION: The gimbal type pan head comprises a U-shaped outer frame 2 which is rotatable around a vertical axis and a U-shaped inner frame 3 which supports a photographic apparatus W and is rotatable around a horizontal axis with respect to the outer frame 2. A first tip part 3a of the inner frame 3 is rotatably coupled to a first tip part 2a of the outer frame 2 via a first rotation shaft 4. In the first tip part 3a of the inner frame 3, a thrust bearing 12 and a rotation torque adjustment pad 13 are fitted side by side on the outer surface side. A pad stopper 14 and a disc rotor 15 are provided between the rotation torque adjustment pad 13 and the first tip part 2a of the outer frame 2. The rotation torque adjustment pad 13 is pushed against the thrust bearing 12 by narrowing an interval between the first tip part 2a of the outer frame 2 and the first tip part 3a of the inner frame 3, so as to adjust a rotation torque necessary for rotating the inner frame 3 with respect to the outer frame 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
