Abstract:
To provide an optical scanner and an image forming apparatus that can prevent a reduction in signal level of a control signal resulting from the length of a transmission line between a light quantity control unit that outputs the control signal and a light source drive circuit that drives a light source.SOLUTION: An optical scanner 313 comprises: a light quantity control unit 65 that generates a light quantity control signal CS on the basis of image data; an output processing unit 651 that outputs the light quantity control signal CS generated by the light quantity control unit 65; a light source drive unit 62 that receives the light quantity control signal CS output from the output processing unit 651 and generates a driving current according to the received light quantity control signal CS; a light source 61 that emits light according to the driving current generated by the light source driving unit 62; and a feedback control unit 63 that detects the signal level of the light quantity control signal CS when the light source drive unit 62 receives the light quantity control signal CS and outputs a feedback signal FB corresponding to the detected signal level to the light quantity control unit 65.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
