Abstract:
To provide a vehicle door handle device which can prevent opening of a vehicle door in a side collision without having to add a part for the sole purpose of preventing opening of the vehicle door in the side collision.SOLUTION: A vehicle door handle device includes a frame having a bearing portion and a bell crank having a shaft portion. The bearing portion has an engagement opening which is formed in a hole-forming wall portion of a support hole for pivotally supporting the other end portion of the shaft portion and into which a part of the other end portion of the shaft portion can be inserted, and when the vehicle is hit by the vehicle side surface, the other end portion of the shaft portion is moved toward the engagement opening by an impact applied to the vehicle door, and a part of the other end portion of the shaft portion is inserted into the engagement opening, whereby the other end portion of the shaft portion is partially engaged.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
