Abstract:
To perform image acquisition and measurement of a predetermined cross section of a subject accurately and in a short time regardless of a user's skill.SOLUTION: A first processing unit receives a reception signal output by an ultrasonic probe that receives an ultrasonic wave from a subject, and generates images of different cross sections of the subject in a time series manner. A frame determination unit determines whether or not the images generated by the first processing unit are images of predetermined target cross sections of the subject for each of the images generated in a time series manner. If the frame determination unit determines that the image generated by the first processing unit is the image of the target cross section, a second processing unit performs predetermined processing for at least one of that image or the original reception signal by which the image is generated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
