Abstract:
To provide an electric power unit capable of upgrading maneuverability of an electric vehicle, and an electric vehicle.SOLUTION: An electric power unit in accordance with the present invention includes an energy accumulation rotor body that accumulates kinetic energy when being rotated, a rotating speed augmentation mechanism that rotates the energy accumulation rotor body at a rotating speed higher than a rotating speed of an electric motor rotating shaft, a clutch that changes a transmission state in which the rotation of the electric motor rotating shaft and the rotation of the energy accumulation rotor body can be transmitted to an output shaft, and a cutoff state in which the rotation of the electric motor rotating shaft and the rotation of the energy accumulation rotor body cannot be transmitted to the output shaft, and an output shaft that rotates a driving wheel when being rotated along with the rotation of the electric motor rotating shaft and the rotation of the energy accumulation rotor body which are transmitted by the clutch when the clutch is brought to the transmission state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
