Abstract:
To provide a center pillar of a vehicle body capable of replacing from a center pillar made of steel to a center pillar made of a fiber-reinforced resin by reducing an influence on a design space.SOLUTION: A center pillar of a vehicle body includes: a pillar body section 12 which is made of a fiber-reinforced resin and is formed into a hollow cylindrical shape; and flange formation members 20a and 20b which are joined to at least one of both side faces of the pillar body section. The flange formation members have base sections 31 and 33 joined to the pillar body section and flange sections 21 and 23 stood from the base sections. The base sections are arranged in recesses 41 and 43 provided in the pillar body section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
