Abstract:
To provide a control device for a hybrid vehicle, which is able to hinder shock during switching from a direct connection mode to a low mode or a high mode.SOLUTION: A control device for a hybrid vehicle estimates torque acting when a vehicle is traveling in a direct connection mode set for one of a first engagement mechanism and a second engagement mechanism for maintaining an engaging state when switching takes place from the direct connection mode to one of a first travel mode and a second travel mode (step S3). In a case where the estimated torque during switching from the direct connection mode to one of the travel modes is less than predetermined torque, torque acting on the other engagement mechanism released when switching takes place from the direct connection mode to the one travel mode is decreased at a first predetermined change rate (step S5). Thereafter, torque acting on the other engagement mechanism is decreased at a second predetermined change rate, higher than the first predetermined change rate, to release the other engagement mechanism.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
