Abstract:
To provide a driving device that has high efficiency and can provide followability at acceleration/deceleration equivalent to that of a stepping motor and durability of a motor, an image forming apparatus, and a peripheral device of an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: There is provided a driving device 151 comprising: a motor 101 that is an inner rotor type DC brushless motor as a driving source, a photosensor 122 that detects the amount and direction of rotation of an output shaft 124 of the motor 101; an encoder disk 123; a control circuit 121 that controls the rotation of the motor 101; and a driver circuit 125 that supplies a driving power to the motor 101 on the basis of a signal from the control circuit 121, where the control circuit 121 changes a signal to the driver circuit 125 on the basis of a target driving signal of the motor 101 acquired from the outside and detection signals detected from the photosensor 122 and encoder disk 123 to control at least either one of the speed or position of rotation of the motor 101.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
