Abstract:
To specify an abnormality occurrence spot without the need for decomposition.SOLUTION: An abnormality diagnosing device 100 diagnoses the abnormality of a fuel pump 5 equipped with a flow rate adjusting valve 6 for adjusting the flow rate of a fuel pumped from a fuel tank 2 and a high pressure pump 7 for pressurizing the fuel after flow rate adjustment and discharging it to a common rail 8. The abnormality diagnosing device 100 comprises: an input unit 110 for accepting a detection value of pressure in the common rail 8; a calculation unit 120 for, when the detection value is less than an intended common rail pressure, calculating a differential pressure between them, and a discharge amount from the fuel pump 5; and a determination unit 130 for determining whether or not a set time has elapsed while the differential pressure is greater than or equal to a first threshold and less than a second threshold and the discharge amount is greater than or equal to a third threshold and less than a fourth threshold. The determination unit 130 determines that there is occurrence of abnormality of the high pressure pump 7 when the set time has elapsed, and determines that there is occurrence of abnormality of the flow rate adjustment valve 6 when the set time has not elapsed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
