Abstract:
To provide a head-up display device capable of reducing a feeling of physical disorder that a passenger has resulting from adjustment of a projection range.SOLUTION: A virtual display system is used for a vehicle, and serves as a heat-up display device to superpose and display a virtual image Vi in front of a passenger such as a driver. The virtual image display system comprises a projector which emits light of a display image to be displayed as the virtual image Vi, and an adjusting mechanism which mechanically moves a projection range PA in which the light emitted from the projector is projected on the windshield WS of the vehicle. The state of the display image projected by the projector is so controlled according to a movement of the projection range PA by the adjusting mechanism as to maintain the display position of the virtual image Vi.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
