Abstract:
To provide a combustion chamber structure of a diesel engine which can enhance a compression ratio of a diesel engine by expanding a rib volume while suppressing the deterioration of a combustion state of fuel.SOLUTION: In a combustion chamber structure 50 of a diesel engine 1 having a plurality of pieces of ribs 60 which are arranged so as to reach a side face 53 from a bottom face 52 of a combustion chamber 51 of the diesel engine 1, and also having a non-rib region 70 in which the ribs 60 are not formed in a region between the adjacent ribs 60, the combustion chamber structure 50 of the diesel engine 1 comprises a collision plate 80 having a collision face 81 with which fuel F injected from a fuel injection valve 40 collides. The collision face 81 is set so as to progress toward the non-rib region 70 of the combustion chamber 51 by changing a progress direction of the fuel by the collision of the fuel injected from the fuel injection valve 40 with the collision face 81.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
