Abstract:
To provide a pivot shaft which balances restricting sensibility to a magnetic field and satisfying requirements of impact resistance necessary for the timepiece industry.SOLUTION: A pivot shaft comprises at least one pivot 3 made of first nonmagnetism metal material 4 on at least one end in order to restrict sensibility to a magnetic field. At least an outer surface of the pivot 3 is coated with a first layer 5 of second material selected from a group including Ni, NiB and NiP, preferably chemical NiP. At least the first layer 5 of the second material is partially coated with a second layer 6 of third material selected from a group including gold, silver, copper, platinum, rhodium, palladium and alloy of them.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
