To provide a display unit that comprises a plurality of screens, the display unit capable of preventing black float while maintaining efficiency in use of light to efficiently display a high-quality image.SOLUTION: A display unit comprises: a light source 11; a first screen 13 that is provided on a light path of emission light emitted from the light source; a second screen 17 that is provided on the light path and has a distance on the light path from the light source longer than that of the first screen; and a deflection optical system that is provided on the light path between the light source and the second screen and changes the direction of the emission light directed to the second screen.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
