Abstract:
To provide a medical device capable of enhancing safety property by suppressing erroneous puncture and efficiently expanding a formed hole, and to provide a treatment method.SOLUTION: A medical device 1 for forming a hole in an oval fossa O in an organism and expanding the hole includes: a needle part 30 in which a sharp puncture part 31 is provided in an end part at a distal side; a protective pipe 60 slidably storing the needle part 30; and a first energization part 90 for moving the protective pipe 60 in a distal direction to the needle part 30. When the puncture part 31 forms a hole in the oval fossa O, the protective pipe 60 expands the hole which the puncture part 31 forms in the oval fossa O, and can be moved to a distal side by energization force from the first energization part 90 so as to store the puncture part 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
