Abstract:
To generate hydrogen through steam reforming reaction and additionally treat tritium.SOLUTION: A mixture gas of hydrogen (H) and tritium gas (HT) with carbon dioxide (CO) removed is generated by pressurizing and heating tritium contaminated water tw for state conversion into overheated steam [HO(g)] and overheated tritium steam [HTO(g)] under absolute pressure of 3 MPa and at 250°C and by means of steam reforming reaction using potassium carbonate as catalyst and carbon dioxide absorbent in a steam reforming reaction/COremoval device 4, the mixture gas is separated in a second separation part 5, the separated tritium gas (HT) is stored in a tritium gas storage part 6 and the separated hydrogen (H) is, for example, used as fuel for a fuel cell 7, respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
