Abstract:
To make it possible to easily grasp the state of deformation of a fixing belt to prevent in advance a failure of the device.SOLUTION: A fixing device comprises: a rotatable fixing belt 44 in a hollow cylindrical shape; a flange 46 that regulates an end 445 of the fixing belt 44; and a thermistor 50 that detects a surface temperature of the fixing belt 44. Further, the thermistor 50 includes a temperature detection element part 53 that is arranged in contact with the fixing belt 44, a thermistor body part 51 that is arranged on the outside through the flange 46 from the position at which the temperature detection element part 53 is arranged, and a contact arm part 52 that has the temperature detection element part 53 mounted thereon, is held by the thermistor body part 51, and is arranged in proximity to the fixing belt end 445.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
