Abstract:
To provide a switch gear and a key input device that can adjust characteristics for use.SOLUTION: A switch gear 1, such as a key switch 1 included in a key input device, such as a keyboard comprises: a movable member 11 that can move from a top dead center to a bottom dead center with a depressing operation for depressing a key top 12; an elastic member 14, such as a compression coil spring that presses the movable member 11 in the opposite direction to a depression direction; and a contact/separation part 130 that switches an electrical contact/separation state in the course of the movement from the top dead center to the bottom dead center. The switch gear includes an adjustment member 16 that can adjust the length from the top dead center to the bottom dead center, and the length of PT (Pre Travel) can be adjusted through the adjustment with the adjustment member 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
