Abstract:
To provide an absorbent auxiliary pad at low costs which can appropriately prevent leakage of loose passage.SOLUTION: An absorbent auxiliary pad 1 is arranged in an absorbent article. The absorbent auxiliary pad 1 has a columnar shape having flexibility. The absorbent auxiliary pad 1 is divided into flap parts 30 positioned at both ends in a longitudinal direction and an absorbent body 20 positioned between the flap parts 30. The absorbent body 20 has: an absorber 21 extending along a longitudinal direction of the absorbent auxiliary pad 1; and a liquid-permeable surface material 22 covering the absorber. The flap parts 30 are composed only of the surface materials 22 and are closed in a flat-shape by internal surfaces' being bonded, have first fixing means 31 to be fixed to the absorbent article on the surfaces. A shape of a cross section of the absorbent body 20 in a shorthand direction is nearly rectangular or nearly circular, and adjusts an outer periphery of the cross section in the short hand direction of the absorbent body 20 and dimension in the longitudinal direction of the absorbent auxiliary pad 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
