Abstract:
To achieve a high discharge capacity and a high volume energy density.SOLUTION: An air cell 1 comprises: a positive electrode 13 for the air cell, containing a porous material that includes carbon; a negative electrode 12 which can occlude and discharge a metal ion; and an electrolyte layer 14 arranged between the positive electrode 13 for the air cell and the negative electrode 12. The porous material of the positive electrode 13 for the air cell, contains: a first fine hole having a fine hole diameter of 4 nm or more and less than 100 nm; and a second fine hole having the fine hole diameter of 100 nm or more and 10 μm or less. When volume of the first fine hole is V1, and volume of the second fine hole is V2, the following equations are satisfied: 3.0≤V2/V1 and V1≤1.0 cm/g.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
