Abstract:
To provide a medium conveying device which is inexpensive and compact in size without reducing picture quality and printing speed, and to provide an image forming device equipped with the same.SOLUTION: In a serial type image forming device 1 for forming an image on a roll sheet 20, a conveyance driving for conveying a predetermined amount of recording sheets and a feed driving for feeding out the recording sheet from the roll sheet 20 are selectively driven by one motor. When the image is printed, the roll sheet 20 is driven, thereby imparting the slack to the roll sheet 20, and after completion of printing, conveyance of the predetermined amount of recording sheets is performed.
