Abstract:
To provide a robust self-starting escapement mechanism for maintaining the oscillation of a high-frequency, high-quality factor resonator.SOLUTION: Provided is an optimized magneto-mechanical timepiece escapement mechanism. An oscillator includes a resonator, which has an inertial mass returned by elastic return means and carries an entry pallet PE and an exit pallet PS cooperating with teeth 22 of an escape wheel 20 each provided with a magnet 23. Each pallet PE, PS includes a magnetic arrangement 30 with an annular sector, centered on the axis of oscillation OR of the resonator, defining a first magnetic barrier area. The first magnetic barrier area extends above and/or below a mechanical pallet-stone of the entry pallet PE or exit pallet PS, over the entire length of the mechanical pallet-stone acting as support for the teeth 22 during supplementary arc, in order to form a magnetic cylinder escapement mechanism.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 23
