Abstract:
To reduce damage given to an occupant by an airbag in a situation of so-called 'OOP' (out of position) where an occupant is not normally seated on a seat.SOLUTION: In a vehicular seat according to the invention, an airbag module stored in a side support part of the seat includes an airbag that inflates and expands to restrain an occupant, and an inflator, provided inside in a vehicle width direction of a side frame, which supplies inflation gas to the airbag. Inside a seat back is provided webbing to surround the airbag module in a stored state. When the airbag expands, if pressure by the occupant is applied to the seat back, the webbing is opened, so that the airbag swells to the outside of the seat back, and if the pressure by the occupant is not applied to the seat back, the webbing is not opened, so that the airbag expands only inside the seat back.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
