Abstract:
To provide a stainless steel having good corrosion resistance even when exposed to a high potential in an environment containing fluoride ions.SOLUTION: There is provided a stainless steel satisfying the following formula (1): t×A≤1 (1). In the formula (1), t (μm) is the thickness of an oxide film after electrolysis at 0.9 V for 100 hours in a sulfuric acid solution containing fluoride ions at 80°C (where t>0), and A is an environmental index represented by the following formula (2): A=-10.2×pH+0.17×[F]+37.7 (2) (in the formula (2), [F] represents the fluoride ion concentration (ppm) of the sulfuric acid solution).SELECTED DRAWING: None
