Abstract:
To provide a film having excellent economical efficiency, moldability, processing uniformity, and scratch resistance in order to reduce defects in appearance such as scratches in an optical film which is obtained by peeling a coating layer formed on a biaxially oriented polyester film.SOLUTION: The biaxially oriented polyester film comprises a polyester A layer and a polyester B layer having a lower melting point than the polyester A layer. The polyester A layer is positioned on the outermost layer on at least one side of the polyester B layer, the thickness of the polyester A layer is 1 μm to 9 μm, the proportion of diethylene glycol in polyester A is 0.7% by mass to 1.4% by mass, the peak count value (SPc) of the surface of polyester A layer is 160 to 300, and the orientation angle is 30 degrees or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
