Title:
OPTICAL TRANSMISSION/RECEPTION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2020077987
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To provide an optical transceiver system capable of controlling an output of a light-emitting element while reducing monitor photodiodes in an optical transmitter.SOLUTION: An optical transmission/reception system 100 comprises an optical fiber 51, a metal wire 52, an optical transmitter 10 and an optical receiver 20. The optical transmitter 10 comprises an input terminal 30, a light-emitting element 15 and a current controller 17. The optical receiver 20 comprises a light-receiving element 24, an output terminal 80 and a light-receiving level detector 25. The light-receiving level detector 25 detects an average level of a high-frequency signal converted by the light-receiving element and transmits a level signal indicating the detected average level to the optical transmitter 10 via the metal wire 52. The current controller 17 controls a bias current so that an average level of intensity of an optical signal becomes a predetermined value, on the basis of the level signal transmitted from the light-receiving level detector 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
