Abstract:
To provide a connector system for a medical device.SOLUTION: A connector system includes: a syringe adapter where a translation housing is movable within an elongated opening of the syringe adapter; a coupling device where the translation housing is movable between an initial position in which the syringe adapter is not in fluid communication with the coupling device and an activated position in which the syringe adapter is in fluid communication with a vial access device via a cannula; and a locking member movable between an unlocked position where a lock portion of the vial access device is movable within the elongated opening of the syringe adapter and a locked position where the locking member is engaged with the lock portion of the coupling device to lock the syringe adapter to the coupling device in the activated position. The syringe adapter defines a viewing window, and a first indicator is displayed within the viewing window in a state in which the translation housing is at the initial position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 90
