Abstract:
To prevent a decrease in working efficiency while preventing the occurrence of self-excited vibration in working, when rotation and movement of a tool and rotation of a workpiece need to be synchronized.SOLUTION: A machine tool 1 is provided that comprises: a main spindle 2 which rotates and moves a tool X; a workpiece rotating mechanism 3 which rotates a workpiece W; a control unit 4 which controls the main spindle 2 and the work rotating mechanism 3 according to a command of a program; and a cutting load detection unit which detects cutting load on the workpiece W applied by the tool X. The control unit 4 controls a cutting path in such a manner that a depth of a cut of the workpiece W by the tool X in an area where a cutting load is small becomes larger than a depth of a cut in an area where a cutting load is large, within a range where the cutting load detected by the cutting load detection unit does not exceed predetermined load.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
