Abstract:
To provide a constant velocity joint that improves durability of a roller unit of the slide type tripod type constant velocity joint, and is compact and inexpensive.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a slide type tripod constant velocity joint comprising an outer wheel 1 formed in a cylindrical shape, a tripod 6 having three tripod shaft parts 6a extending radially, and a roller unit 11 supported by the respective tripod shaft parts 6, and inserted into a track groove 1a of the outer wheel in a free rolling state. The roller unit consists of an outer roller 2, a plurality of spherical bodies 3, an inner roller 5, and a retainer 4 retaining the spherical bodies 3 in an equal arrangement. The roller unit has the spherical body 3 brought into contact with a rolling groove 5b of the inner roller at one point P2 and with a rolling groove 2a of the outer roller 2 at one point P3. The inner roller 5, the outer roller 2, and the spherical bodies 3 are arranged such that a straight line L3 connecting the contact points P2 and P3 has a contact angle α to a straight line L2 extending directly to a center line L1 of an axis of rotation of the roller unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
