Abstract:
To provide a preparation including a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) having a good microbial resistance, little odor, low toxicity, good hydrolysis resistance, good flame retardancy, and good mechanical properties.SOLUTION: A preparation includes a thermoplastic polyurethane produced at least from the following starting materials: (a) isocyanate, (b) an isocyanate-reactive substance, and preferably (c) a chain extender and/or (d) a catalyst, and, as other starting materials (e) further substances and/or auxiliary substances, which are added to the thermoplastic polyurethane during a production method and are thus contained in the thermoplastic polyurethane. At least one of the starting materials includes a phenoxy group or a derivative of the phenoxy group. The phenol content of the preparation or the sum of the phenol contents of the thermoplastic polyurethane contained in the preparation and of all other starting materials is less than 100 mass ppm.SELECTED DRAWING: None
