Abstract:
To suppress a projection amount of an ink tank housing site from a front face of a device, from a viewpoint of restricting enlargement of packaging size and from a viewpoint of maintaining fine appearance of the device, in forming the ink tank housing site so as to project from the front face of the device, because of an increase in capacity of ink.SOLUTION: A recording device includes: a recording unit for performing recording by discharging liquid on a medium; a liquid housing unit provided with a liquid housing container for housing the liquid to be discharged by the recording unit, and disposed at a front part of the device; and a maintenance unit for performing maintenance of the recording unit. The maintenance unit is disposed in an end region in a first direction, in a width direction that is orthogonal to a depth direction of the device. The liquid housing unit is disposed in an end region in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction, in the width direction, and extends to an occupied region of the maintenance unit in the depth direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
