Abstract:
To provide a redox flow battery which is lower in cell resistivity.SOLUTION: A redox flow battery of the present invention comprises an ion exchange membrane 10, a porous layer 32, an electrode 31 and a collector plate 20 which are laminated in this order. In the redox flow battery, the electrode 31 is composed of a plurality of electrode pieces 31A and 31B disposed in parallel in a plane direction. A flow path of an electrolyte solution is provided on an electrode side of the collector plate 20. The electrolyte solution flow path includes a supply flow path network A connected to a supply port of the electrolyte solution, and an exhaust flow path network B connected to an exhaust port of the electrolyte solution. The plurality of electrode pieces include: an electrode piece 31A disposed on the supply flow path network A and arranged so that the electrolyte solution runs from a collector plate-side plane to a porous layer-side plane; and an electrode piece disposed on the exhaust flow path network B and arranged so that the electrolyte solution runs from the porous layer-side plane to the collector plate-side plane.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A
