Abstract:
To provide a system and method for constructing three-dimensional (3D) parts.SOLUTION: The printing system can include a deposition system that is configured to print a plurality of two-dimensional (2D) layers onto a plurality of carrier sheets. The printing system also includes a transfer system configured to transfer the 2D layers from one of the plurality of carrier sheets onto a 3D component. The 3D components can be located on a base substrate. The printing system further includes a feeding system configured to provide a plurality of carrier sheets from the deposition system to the transfer system in a continuous fashion while maintaining the orientation of the printing in the deposition and transfer system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
