Abstract:
To provide a hollow shaft coupled to constant speed universal joints, which is easy to attach/detach, and can certainly prevent the immersion of a lubricant into the inside.SOLUTION: A hollow shaft 1 which is coupled between two constant speed universal joints 2 and 3 separated in an axial direction and has a hollow portion 1a inside, is provided with cap fitting portions 16 that are provided at both sides in the axial direction and have outer diameter dimensions smaller than those of joint fitting portions 14 fitted with the constant speed universal joints 2 and 3, on both end portions. A cap 4 blocking both end portions of the hollow portion 1a is fitted with an outer periphery of the cap fitting portion 16, and the cap 4 has a cylindrical flange portion 4a to be fitted with the outer periphery of the cap fitting portion 16. While the flange portion 4a is fitted with the outer periphery of the cap fitting portion 16, the constant speed universal joints 2 and 3 can be fitted with the joint fitting portion 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
