Abstract:
To provide a liquid absorber in which preferable liquid absorption characteristics and flame retardancy are compatible, and to provide an ink absorber and a droplet discharge device which are provided with such the liquid absorber and allow preferable ink absorption characteristics and flame retardancy to be compatible therein.SOLUTION: A liquid absorber includes a plurality of small pieces which have a first layer containing fiber, a second layer containing fiber and a third layer provided between the first layer and the second layer and containing water absorptive resin. Therein, the water absorptive resin is characterized in that a rate of a weight reduction amount at 400°C with respect to an initial weight is 0.050 or more and is less than 0.500 in a TG curve measured in such measurement conditions that a sample amount is 5 to 15 mg, a rate of a temperature rise is 10.0°C/min and measurement environment is nitrogen according to thermogravimetry of plastic defined by JIS K 7120:1987.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
