Abstract:
To provide a white water modifying method and a method for producing wastepaper pulp in a wastepaper pulp production step.SOLUTION: The white water modifying method in a process of producing wastepaper pulp from waste paper of a main raw material includes chemical continuous addition processing of continuously adding monochloramine and/or monobromamine to white water at least at one spot of a wastepaper pulp production process, and the chemical continuous addition processing is performed at a site where an oxidation-reduction potential of the white water is the lowest of -400 mV or less.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
