Abstract:
To decrease a temperature difference between an upper arm switching device and a lower arm switching device.SOLUTION: An inverter is provided with an inverter circuit and a controller. The inverter circuit is provided with six switching devices. The controller is provided with a current command operation part, a voltage command operation part, a two-phase modulation control part, an upper-lower arm unbalance correction control part, a PWM modulation control part and a three-phase modulation control part. A two-phase modulation control part calculates a two-phase modulation voltage command value V'u* from three-phase voltage command values Vu*, Vv* and Vw*, and a continuous ON phase required by the upper-lower arm unbalance correction control part. The two-phase modulation voltage command value V'u* is a signal which includes an upper arm continuous ON section US and a lower arm continuous ON section LS during one cycle. The upper-lower arm unbalance correction control part performs upper arm correction in which correction is performed in such a manner that the upper arm continuous ON section US becomes short in comparison with the lower arm continuous ON section LS during one cycle of the two-phase modulation voltage command value V'u*.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
