Abstract:
To provide an optical communication system, an Optical Line Terminal and Optical Network Unit, a wavelength switching method for the optical communication system, and a wavelength switching program for the Optical Line Terminal and Optical Network Unit, capable of reducing a wavelength switching time until conduction restart at a switching destination after generation of a wave length switching instruction.SOLUTION: An optical communication system comprises an Optical Line Terminal and a plurality of Optical Network Units, where uplink signals from the Optical Network Units to the Optical Line Terminal and downlink signals from the Optical Line Terminal to the Optical Network Units are transmitted/received. The Optical Network Units includes a switching control section that, when a wavelength switching request signal is extracted from a downlink signal from the Optical Line Terminal, switches uplink/downlink wavelengths and changes a wavelength state from a normal state to a wavelength switching state before clearing a dedicated band control signal in a dedicated band control signal storage section. The Optical Network Units include a transmission control section that, in transmitting an uplink signal when the wavelength state is the wavelength switching state, generates and transmits the uplink signal on the basis of a shared band control signal in a shared band control signal storage section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
