Abstract:
To provide power conversion equipment in which determination of a short-circuited location is achieved using a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A power conversion equipment 1 controls a plurality of switching elements, the power conversion equipment including: an inverse conversion unit 4 composed of a plurality of switching elements of an upper arm and a plurality of switching elements of a lower arm for controlling current through a motor 70; a first current sensor 12u and a second current sensor 12w for measuring current values of current flowing through cables; a first comparison unit 14u comparing an output value of a first delay unit 13u with a first current threshold value 15; a second comparison unit 14w comparing an output value of a second delay unit 13u with a second current threshold value 15; and a control unit 32 determining a short-circuited location. When determining a short-circuited location, the control unit makes the first current sensor and second current sensor measure current through the same current path and determines a short-circuited location on the basis of outputs from the first comparison unit and second comparison unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
