Abstract:
To improve concentration of black color in a recorded result.SOLUTION: A recording device, when selecting a first mode, which is a recording mode of improving concentration of black color, sets a nozzle non-use area by first nozzles that do not discharge first ink and second nozzles that do not discharge second ink, between a first nozzle use area by a first nozzle that discharges first ink to a recording medium and a second nozzle use area by a second nozzle that discharges second ink to the area where the first ink is discharged in the recording medium, with respect to a first nozzle row of the first nozzles that can discharge the first ink representing black color by single color or mixed color and a second nozzle row of the second nozzles that can discharge the second ink which is lower in pigment concentration than black ink and is achromatic color.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
