Abstract:
To change the kind of printing by determining whether a supply amount of ink for a head is insufficient even not using a pressure sensor.SOLUTION: A control program calculates (S41) the number of ink dots indicating an amount of ink ejected by a head on the basis of printing data. The control program determines (S42) ink pressure according to the calculated number of ink dots and determines (S43) the determined minimum value of ink pressure to be ink pressure minimum value. The control program corrects (S45) the ink pressure minimum value determined at the step (S43) by using ink kind information indicating the kind of ink, environmental temperature, uniform exchange frequency indicating exchange frequency of the ink cartridges and an elapsed time period showing a period after the ink cartridge is mounted on a mounting case to the present. The control program determines whether or not a supply amount of the ink for the head becomes insufficient, depending on whether or not the corrected ink pressure minimum value is below threshold stored in a memory.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
