Abstract:
To provide a liquid discharge head which makes a bulkhead for separating individual liquid chambers have buffering property, secures rigidity of the individual liquid chambers and can suppress adverse effects on adjacent crosstalk and liquid discharge.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge head 150a includes: a nozzle plate 130 in which a plurality of nozzles 131 for discharging liquid droplets are formed; a flow passage plate 120 which is joined to the nozzle plate and forms individual liquid chambers 121 communicated with the nozzles; and a diaphragm 110 which is joined to the flow passage plate and forms at least a part of wall surfaces of the individual liquid chambers. In a bulkhead 250 for separating the individual liquid chambers of the flow passage plate, two or more slit sections 240a are provided to extend from a joint surface with the nozzle plate or a joint surface with the diaphragm. The bulkhead is divided into a bulkhead section 252 and thin wall sections 254 having thinner wall thickness than that of the bulkhead section. Therefore, pressure fluctuation within the individual liquid chambers can be absorbed and adverse effects on adjacent crosstalk and liquid discharge can be suppressed by the thin wall sections while securing rigidity required for the bulkhead.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
