Abstract:
To provide a steering device capable of stably supporting a rack shaft.SOLUTION: A steering device 100 includes: a rack shaft 21 that turns wheels 6; a housing 22 that retains therein the rack shaft 21; a pinion shaft 5 that transmits operating force to the rack shaft 21; and a first bushing 23 which is provided at a housing 22, and which supports the rack shaft 21 so as to be freely slidable. The first bushing 23 has a recess 23d which is formed in an inner circumference 23c where the rack shaft 21 slides and contacts, and which extends in an axial-center O1 direction of the rack shaft 21. The recess 23d is provided at a position facing an edge portion 21e of a rack gear 21a in a cross-sectional view of the first bushing 23 along the radial direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
